How It Works

You and your guests role-play the characters for the whole evening. You will be the suspects over dinner guided by one or two professional actors who play the detectives. One of you will be the murderer!

You are given written instructions during the event and you interact with the actor playing detective and with each other dropping clues and gossip at specific times throughout dinner. Intriguing riddles are revealed as the story unfolds. The winning person who deduces Whodunit receives a bottle of bubbly. Set around a 3 course meal or hot/cold buffet, our team promise to make it an evening to remember!

Maximise the Fun!

Personalise it. Our private roleplay murder mystery dinners can even be personalised to your event - just let us know a few names and juicy titbits about your friends or colleagues...

Dance the night away. To continue your evening's entertainment after the murderer has been discovered, we recommend adding a disco to private events or even a casino if you're feeling lucky!

Fancy dress. We encourage all guests to dress in fancy dress for the style of the evening – it helps the guests feel more involved and you could win a prize!

The perfect venue. We have worked with many hotels in the past in most major cities across the UK. Let us know your murder mystery requirements and leave all the organising to us. Alternatively, we are totally portable so we can provide the professional actors to any venue, be it a hotel, castle, ship or even your own home!

Join Henny Heartbeat on her hen night with her celebrity friends Amy Wino, Paris Milton, Tina Turncoat and many more for this role-play murder mystery where you play the characters and are all suspects in a MURDER case!

This story is set in 1920’s Chicago and is ideal for private hen party groups of 8 to 25, everyone in your party plays a part. We personalise the event to the Bride and Groom and include your gossip. You and your guests will be cast before the event by your organiser with some tips on fancy dress costumes and when you arrive will be given your clue-packs and further information and clues throughout the event by Private Investigator Dick Pacy.

Some of the suspects will be interrogated by the PI during the event so keep your wits about you. You will also question fellow guests yourself. There’s a prize of a bottle of bubbly for the super sleuth who discovers whodunit!

The event is facilitated by 1 or 2 professional actors and you and your guests role-play parts, suitable for groups of 8 to 25 guests.

The Mad Hatters' Tea Party is suitable for 7 to 30 guests and is hosted by 1 or 2 professional actors who play parts in the story. You are able to personalise the event with gossip about the fellow guests!

Running Order

For private events you may choose the start time but we recommend a drinks reception for either 7pm or 7:30pm. Advise all guests to arrive on time as we cannot start without all the suspects there!

Roleplay murder mystery dinners tend to run about 3 hours approximately, so with a 7pm start the event would finish at approximately 10pm.

7:00pm Drinks reception. Meet at reception for pre-dinner drinks, where clue-packs and your character breakdowns are distributed. You get to know who’s who- keep your wits about you so you don’t miss a clue!

7:30pm Sit down for dinner. Dinner is announced the guests take their seats; the two professional actors play out a dramatic scene, ending in who knows? Bloodshed?

7:45pm Dinner is served. Each course is served and the comic plot unfolds. The actors guide you through, unveiling the story and its twists and turns. You might be questioned by the detective or reveal an important clue when questioned by a fellow guest during the main course! Word-games and Quizzes are introduced during the evening, which may reveal clues to who the murderer is!

9:15pm You solve the crime! Just before the dessert it’s your chance to be a super sleuth and figure out whodunit! Then hand in your solution sheet in for judging, after which the dramatic denouement uncovers the dastardly villain whodunit! They may come to a sticky end...

9:45pm Prizes awarded. The star prize of one bottle of bubbly is awarded to the winning person and a booby prize to the most absurd solution. But there's still a chance to win with our limerick competition, free prize draw and best fancy dress!

10pm End of murder mystery event.
